We are still sailing in the same area. In fact, I will keep the same photos posted because this is the area where we are still working. Not much time outside today. A morning was spent setting up peripherals for data transfer and backup of a laptop ready to malfunction. Sunday is weekly report day so I wanted to complete it so it will be sitting in people’s inbox on Monday morning. I did manage to go outside a few times but never really paid attention as it was mostly transit from the office in my stateroom to the shop. Tomorrow is back to work and trying to make the task list smaller with accomplishments.
Weather is warm but cloudy. We were sailing around Aunu’u island today. I did take a break to look at the scenery from the weather deck. But that was about a minute. I noticed a few nice homes and back on the mainland they would likely call it “premium property.” I know in Western Samoa you cannot buy land in the villages as it is passed down from one generation to the next. My father-in-law and I took a drive around the village a few weeks back and he pointed out to me some of the land he owns. He inherited it instead of cash transactions. It reminded me of a quote from Chief Crazy Horse that no man shall sell the land that he walks upon.
I am tired and will keep it short tonight. I have been going to bed late and it is starting to play havoc on the body.
Maybe I will have more to write tomorrow. Meanwhile I will bid goodnight and manuia-po from American Samoa.
